Detailed History

Blue Triangle group purchased a 3-story house at 436 5th Avenue in 1920 for use as a "Colored Branch" of the YWCA; this was demolished as part of Capitol Mall Redevelopment urban renewal project.

The Pearl Street building is a 1953 Mid-Century Modern landmark; it closed in 1974 and was sold to Gracie Eaton Day Home. It was demolished c.2019.
