Although designated as being in DC (and there is a Brentwood area in DC), 4526 Rhode Island Avenue is outside the DC boundary in the village of Brentwood MD. The building does not appear on either the 1922 Sanborn Map for Brentwood MD or the DC Suburban Map 1939 updated 1959.
