Description

The house at 1701 Bangs, on the corner of Myrtle Avenue on the West Side, remains today. Listed in The Green Book as in Asbury Park, the address is technically in Neptune Township. The 1930 Sanborn insurance map depicted the house as a two-and-a-half-story frame dwelling fronted by a one-story porch, with a bump out on the east side towards the rear. While it appears that the roofline of the house has been altered and the porch has been enclosed, the house remains today.
