Phillip's Tavern This tavern is listed erroneously in the Green Book at 415 South Queen Street, Raleigh. The 1951 City Directory places it in Kinston, instead. The 1948 Sanborn map indicates that the tavern occupied the extant 2-story building on this block, and not the 1-story brick building to its north. —Andrew S. Edmonds
