The north end of Canal Street is now a clearing of grass and broken pavement. Based on the 1913-50 Sanborn Map for the area, it is not clear that the 3 Canal Street address is accurate for this establishment.

From a Facebook post via the Library at the A.J Williams-Meyers African Roots Center, the Gordon was owned by Warren and Emma Gordon during this time. Unfortunately, any further information on Warren and Emma Gordon or the Gordon Hotel in a census or other digitally available resources such as property records or advertisements has not been forthcoming.
