Description
The two sites that listed a business of this name have been destroyed. The corner of Depew St. & Central Ave. is now an open green space, and the site at 1100 Park St. is now the site of a number of public services offices. The Park St. location was a two story frame building with aspestos exterior. The Depew & Central location was a corner restaurant of brick with cornice frame.
Detailed History
According to newspaper advertisements this was likely a business originally opened at 1100 Park St. by one Howard A. Greene before moving to Depew & Central. It was reportedly the site of regular police activity. An advertisement for the opening of Green's Lounge and Restaurant at 1100 Park Street indicated that the restaurant specialized in Chinese food, barbequed ribs, and southern fried chicken.
