It was actually called Dick's Mobil Service, not Dirk's. The 1948 city directory lists the business at this address with Emile R. Dobbelmann as the junior manager. The 1950 city directory lists Larry's Mobile Service gas station at this address (3800 3rd Ave). The business continued to operate, but the Green Book listed it at 2921 5th Ave S, which was the home address of Emil(e) R. Dobbelmann. It was later an ice cream shop called Frostee Freeze in the early 1960s.
