Although it appears that Dawn Lodge, like Moodie's Lodge (also listed 1961-1967), did not survive (neither location has been identified), it went beyond listing in The Green Book to actively welcome African Americans. An advertisement in the Vacation Section of the June 1965 issue of Ebony touted the lodge as an "Interracial Country Club and Resort."
