We are are liable to a court martial if we write any thing about how many men we have here or how they are fixed or fortified but there is one thing certain and that is that we will all freze to death this winter if we stay here this winter for I am pretty nigh froze to deat to day. but I heard to day that we was agoing to cumberland gap K and yesterday I heard we were going to camp Dearbon Ind. and I am not agoing to believe any of it till we get marching orders and 3 days rations in our haversacks and then I will know we are going some where but then I cant tell where / we are going untill we get there and pitch our tents but I am so cold I must quit writing Give my love to all and write soon from your Affectionate son
