Dear Miss it is with the greatest of pleaure that I sit down to write you a few lines to let you know how I git along I am well at presant hoping when this comes to hand it may find you injoying this same great blesing well beckey I am at camp Morton Indinoplis we have bin here abought three weaks and I hant bin out of this camp since I have bin here but maby we will be home before long / the report is that we are a going to be discharged for the rebeles say that they ant a going to exchange any more prisnors they are a going to hoist the black flag and they agoing to take any prisners that is the report here in camp if we hant discharged we will git a 90 day furlough they say that is shure they say beckey I want you to write to me and tel me if Mary Gos is at youre hous if she is thare her that I came out to camp and hant bin out of camp She sent to letters by / for to of the boys out at camp Jo Runnels and I couldant git out to take them to them tel her that I broke them open and red them and tore them open up tel her that I never broke them open until this morning tel her that I would have wrote her a letter but that I had forgot her name tel her not to think hard of me for not writing and you musant think hard of me for not writing to you for I hant had time to write to anny body I have wrote three letters home and hant herd a word from / home since I left
