My Dear Mother
I have been with the regiment 2 days and when I got there everything I had was gone and I dont expect to get them but I wont have to pay for my gun. I get annother today.
I gess they will not do any thing with me. I just saved my distance. the say the boys that comes in today loses 26 dollars of their wages
We will draw blankets today but I dont know what I will do for a knapsack to carry them in
We are in a few miles of Elizabethtown but I cant tell where the 37th is. We will stay here untill tomorrow and then move on towards Bowling green I got my miniture taken in new haven and sent two home and one to Henry Morrow They are poor things for I had not slept any for six nights
I cant tell you where to write too for we are moveing all the time
