Magor Robertson lives in Neworlean and it is like puling eye teeth to him to come up the country he always wants to go down the country if general Taylor whips the yanks below we will go back to Alexandria as soon as posible. I allowe I would rather stay thare than here but after I once get acquainted here and get the run of things I expect I would rather stay here. I would like to go to Martial it is a pretty place and a plesant place and then if I dident get a furlow to go home you could get a furlow to come to see me we cant get a good drink of water without paying for it General Prices armey past thru here yesterday on ther way to reinforce General Taylor I think the yanks will get lict up if a general fite comes off General Momeduckes cavelry was orderd to reinforce General Taylor but the Mosourians refused to come to Lousianna
