Col F. J. Parker,
Dear Sir,
Your note of the 12th May came by tonights mail enclosed I found 10 $ for hospital purposes. it also informed me I should receive the same amount by tomorrows mail. before we started on the last march all our sick were as usual sent to a General hospital and we have only 5 men now sick enough to require much care, all our wounded 5 in number being at the General hospital. those 5 shall have the benefit of your remittance until they go to Washington, which will probably be soon as we shall probably march again before many / days, and I had much rather you would not send more until we should again set up a hospital and I will not fail to let you know when we do so.
Very Truly Yours
Wm T M Odiorne
