           I have the honor herewith to transmit to you a letter from the Ordnance Department.
 
             If you wish to have any of the original reports of the Battalion I should be very happy to furnish you with any information that I can obtain you will please inform me by return mail, & if I go to Boston on return of the Regiment, I should deem it an honor to give you information about the returns, as far as the Q.M. dept. is concerned I can get the items of Sergt. White
