George L. Prescott to Francis J. Parker, 25 February 1864
Head Quarters 32nd Ms Vol
Liberty Va Feb 25 1864

            Dear Colonel
Enclosed please find receipts as you request. Can you send me duplicate Invoices of the guns we drew after we left Fort Warren. they were distributed at Jersey City I think. if you can send me the Invoices you will oblige me much.

We arrived here last Monday having been five days on the way. No one found any fault that we were five days over our time. Gen Sykes thought we had 35 days in our State instead of 30 The 4th Michigan went home this morning (130 of them) I have sent two Companies to take their place while away. Every man of our Regt reported to us in Boston, and we have only three absent now without leave. Gen Sykes told me before I went home I should not bring back over two thirds of my men. he was quite pleased when I told him they all reported in Boston. said it spoke very highly for the Regiment. All the officers are well. those that remained
                                                (over) /
behind are expecting to 35 days leave soon. Excuse haste

and believe me
In haste truly Yours
G L Prescott
