The prosspecks of getting back to Dixie I see none atall its very Disharting here in prison at Fort delaware So many of our men diing Thirteen or Foreteen a day was confined to my bed about 8 days But at the present time I am so as I can get about again Thank God for it
Saterday Sept 26th 63. Some moore of our troops leaves here today. Virginia & Maryland troops They was about 700 of the western men got of the 18th of this month. we suppose that they was taken to sitty point and exchange but some doubt it very much
