College Hill
December 17th 1852—

Knowing your partiality for home made sausage my dear Trudy, I sent last evening by express a taste for you of some that was sent us from Millston nicely made & well seasoned—also a piece of head cheese which you may fry, or eat it without cooking I like it best cut in thin slices I eat with a little oil & vinegar not cooked—

Has your good husband made up his mind not to visit us again. it is not necessary he should be at home just now for the same reason that you are, do send him over. husband so often says I wish Robert would come over & see us, I really long to see his cheeerful face once more. cant you spare time to drop us a line to let us know a little how you all do. it is an anxious time for you my dear Trudy—but the same kind friend who has brought you through similar trials, will I trust / be with our dear Carrie. how is her general health. If I remember right she has naturally a good constitution.

God grant you all my dear Trudy

Heavens choicest blessing is the prayer of your sincerely attached Auntie
C.M.F.
