Dear mother we was glad to hear from you I have ben thinking of writing to you for a long time I have so many cares for my little family it takes up all of my time I often think of my good old mother when I look back to my child hood it seems like dream When I think of the trouble you past through We ar born to trouble as the spark has to fly upwards our trouble we think we cannot bare up under it seems hard to bare but god knows what is best for us he doth all things well he hath taken / to of our dear children for some wise purpes our dear Frankey has gon to rest oh mother how can we be reconciled god knows what is best for us pray for me and my little family Hilley has bin sick ever since Walthy came home I think he will never be any better We want you should come down and see us as soon as you can I cannot tell when I shall go up north if ever should like to visit my folks as well as eny boddy I will meet you at the depot any time I wanto know how Allen is geting along how is Elvira getting along Where is she dos she here from Liddle my folks have / all deserted me I think I shall live for as long.
