Friend Laura.
After returning from my travels I hasten to drop a few lines to you however short they may be. I recd Sarahs picture about a week ago. she is having some fine times get a letter every week. I am having some photos taken and you can look for one in a week or so. Tell Joe to write and I will most cheerfully answer. I suppose you are very well satisfied that I cannot come home so often for I used to be a general torment to you. I suppose that you will soon have skating at home. No cold weather here yet. Beautiful country and magnificent camp. My / respects to Miss Bastian when you see her, also to your family. I will now close. Excuse my scribbling as one of the orderlies dropped my gold pen on the floor and broke the points of I have to take a steel pen and it does not write so well.

Your Friend
