Dear Brother
I received your kind letter yesterday evening & I take the first opportunity of replying to it
                                   
I am happy to say to you that it found me well & doing very well I hadent had very mutch to do since I wrote to you last I was truley glad to heare that you wer all well
                                   
You can say to Mother that she nead not go to any more trouble abought geting me that flanel shirt I expect to go to Lynchburg again next week & I can get one there / you nead not be in any hury abought sending my comfort I do not want any thing sent untill you get my boots ready then I want my trunk sent and all my things sent to gather
                                   
I want my boots as soon as you can get them ready a comfort & a pare of pants & a fine shirt I will send you the key of my trunk when you get all my things ready I do not expect to get to come home untill next spring I should like a dark grey jeans pants if you can get any I want them for sunday go to meetin pants I will get some butons for my coat next week I have not bein able to get any yet I do not want my suit aunt Mary wove for me this winter I want it made up & kept at home untill / I send for it let me know what trimings you can get there if there is nothing suteable in the stores at home I will try and get something here a merchant here promised to get me a set of butons next week I will send them home as soon as I find an opportunity you did not state whether James Loyd wanted them shoe knives or not I do not know whether to buy them or not when I get to Lynchburg you gave me no satisfaction abought any thing I wrote to you abought I wrote to Jane some time a go & I wrote to you to know if she got it you did not state any thing abought it I want you & her both to wright a letter and put them both in one envealope & if both of you cant wright too pages you can call on some of the neighbors to help you if you are / all affraid to wright I will quit entirely I want something to eat sent in my trunk for Christmas. I do not get any thing here but mutton and bread very good tasting for a lousy soldier I will let you know what all I want when I heare from you again
                                   
I was truley glad to heare that you sutch a great revival going on at Antioch I hope all of the famielys professed religion in the neighborhood & will stick to it
                                   
I cincerely wish I was a good Christian & then I would not fear death in any shape or form so I will close hopeing to heare from you soon my love to Father Mother Jane & laura My best wishes to Aunt Kid Mollie, Emma Sam Byars & Miss Mollie beleive me as ever your True Brother T W Collay
