Dear Brother
I received your kind letter a few dayes ago it found me well & doing tolarable well I have bein building stone chimneys for the last too or three weeks I am very near through with them at this time I have one to finish of yet & then I have no Ideer what they will put me at
I have bein looking for my papers to come back from Gen Leeas Hd Qrs every day since they was sent there I am greately in hopes they will come in a few dayes for I get more & more ought with this place every day I stay here
I have no news to communicate to you at this time every thing is quiet along the Rapid Ann at this time I should like very mutch to get home before those weddings comes of that you spoke of I heard of another one that interests me more than any that I have heard of heretofore it is Cousin Kate you will say to her that she must put it of untill I get there I want to have something to say in her marying I think I will be in time for Mollie [paper hole] & allso / the other Mollies
I am glad to heare that the boys are having sutch a gay time at home I wish I could be there but as it is I will be satisfied to remain whare I am untill I can do better Give my love to Father Mother & Sisters & my best wishes to Mrs Kidd, Mollie Joney & Uncle Adam Mr Stewarts & Mr Kestners Famileys & beleive me as ever your affectionate Brother

P.S. I hear Thos Edmondson had the smallpox I was truley sorry to here of sutch distressin malidy getting a hold in our county and more so too here of one of my best friends having it I allso heard that James Orr [?] had the same disease at James Ryburns
