Dear Brother
I have writen to you some 5 or six times withought being able to heare a word from you I have not heard a word from you since the day you came to see me I have bein puzzled to know what can keep you away from me so long the idea struck me that they had put you on my mare & sent you to the Companey it has caused me a great deal of uneasiness if I knew she was sold & all things right I could rest a great deal better Father was to see me last week he wished to see you very mutch he told me to say to you to sell your horse for what ever he would bring if you hadent sold my mare I want you to sell her as soon as you posibley can & come & see me soon I will be able to go home in 3 weeks if I have good luck my foot is doing as well a it could posibley could do it is healing very rapidley in 3 weeks at the farthest / it will be entirely healed over I will close for the present hopeing those lines may find you well my love to Charles & all the boyes & beleive me as ever your
