Dear Brother
I take the present opportunity of wrighting to you a few lines to let you know that I am getting along I am doing quite well my foot is healing very rappidley in too weeks I think with good luck I will be able to go home by the 15th or 20th of this month I have not herd from home since father was here I wrote to you abought Father being here to see me in three letters before this you did not say any thing in your last whether you had received a letter from me since father was here or not Father told me to say to you to sell your hors / what you could get get the new isue if you can for both of our horses I wish you to ask Doctor Owens to give me a piece of spung there is so much Aracyplis & gangreen here that I would like to have a piece of my own I want you to come & see me as soon as you can I have looked for you almost every day since you was here but I have not seen you since I wrote to the Capt a few dayes ago abought not letting you come to see me I will close for the present hopeing those few lines may find you well & allso that you will yet get to come & see me give my love to Charles His father was no better when father left home
