I now take my pen to answer your welcome letter I received it Saturday I am glad you got home safe I am very much pleased with your photographs I think they look just like you all I had a letter from William Wenesday he is well he was camped in the woods near Warrington, Va.
how does the folks like your cloak does Phenie like her dress give my love to her tell her not to forget to / write once in a while has Fred got home yet ask John if he dont want a peper or a onion Georgy says she shant let him kiss her she is going to write soon We are all well I hope these few lines will find you all the same write soon and often good by my love to all
