I have the honor to address you in a few lines. I was expecting to come on in the steamer but shall not be able to till the next. I have been relieved from [faded] but still [faded] of [faded] I shall go to [faded] I have received my [faded]
I see I am to have Co H. I was in hopes I should have Co C. for while I was in Co F I had to fight most of the time and I was hoping I should get a better Company than H. I am anxious to get to the Regt as soon as possible.
