Amariah M. Holly
Amariah M. Holly was born around 1841. By the 1860s, he was living in Coffee County, Alabama. In August 1862, Confederate officials drafted him into the army. As he later explained, he was “kept in ‘Camp Watts’ in Macon Co. Ala for about six weeks at which time I was discharged and sent home.” He took “no further part in the late Rebellion against the Authority of the United States.” He died sometime after July 1865.
