How to commence this letter I hardly know for I hardly know what to say to comfort you onely put your trust in god & look to him for comfort my heart feels for you this night dear Sister I know just how you feel I felt so bad I could hardly read your letter but you must not give away to your feelings & keep up good corage till you see me I want you to come down here very much you must let me know in your next letter when you will start I want Anna to come with you I will feel so much more contented to have her down here with us / I wrote to Anna this weak & talked to her bout coming down here she sead in her letter she would come this fall but I want her to come now I dont see why she cant I think she had better keep her mony her self She may never get it again dont tell her I sead so did Mag take that carrage I had I think Margret ought to have payed you when she got her mony did you say any thing to her bout it when she got it you had better see her & ask her bout it & then she can pay you She ought not to have got the last ten dollars of you I would make James go out to work first will you bring your bed & bed clothes with if you bring your carpet with you I will buy of you dear Sister I was thinking / if could pack up your fenture & put it away some where where it would be safe I would rather do it than sell it now for perhaps we may move to Palmyra some time then I would buy it of you. if you did not want it to stay at you Father you might ask Mrs Rogers if you could not put in their carrage house for a while if you feel you could sell them now I would. if can put them in a good safe place perhaps it be for the best but you will see what will you do with your sofa has Julia ever sead anything bout it your knifes & forks & spoons you had better bring with you, pack them in your trunk have you got your block yet I would onely get just enough to come in for you can get the rest when you come down / what ever mony you lay out when you com down you can write to Mr Noris for what ever you spend. before you come you must go & see Mr Butterfield tell him not to have any body interfear with Frankey & that you want Franky to stay there as long as hes willing to keep him give my love to Franky tell him to be good boy till I see him I had letter from Margret this weak Amos happend to come home the same day I received your letter he felt bad I can tell you he sends his best love to you & says you must not take it to hard for dear Sister William is better of perhaps if he had not been sick he would have been shot Oh but this cruel war how many homes has it made desolate / when will it ever end but I must think of closing be sure & bring Anna with you make her come give my love to all keep good share for one dear self & may the cind angels gaurd & protect you is the prayr of your loving Sister
