Dear Colonel,
            I regret I cannot to accept your polite invitation to dine with you tomorrow, I have a troublesome set of recruits called 15 Battery. They are discontent rowdy fellows and I cannot leave them. [?] they are to be mustered in tomorrow. Pray come down and see me, come down tomorrow and take [?] with us at Father Collins'
