Felix Comfort
Felix Comfort was born around 1812 in France. He eventually immigrated to America, and he probably settled in New York. He joined the Union army during the Civil War, receiving a commission as a lieutenant colonel of the Independent Battalion of New York Infantry on April 4, 1862. He resigned on May 9, 1863. By 1870, he was living in Washington, D.C. He died there of “pulmonary consumption” on March 14, 1870.
