Albert R. Elmore to Grace B. Elmore, 19 September 1863
Charleston Sept 19th 1863.

Dear Grace,
I was under the impression that I had replied to your letter, and am still uncertain. However I don't suppose you will object to another any way. Cousin Tom I suppose has arrived at home safely, much to the delight of Sister. I only wish I could have come with him. I have just returned from picket this morning, and feel some what fatigued. I wish you would send me a list of the clothes you put up for me when I left home. I cannot keep them, unless I know exactly what I have. I know I have a very limited / supply just now. I wrote to Mother for some more, which I expect to day by Dudley. The times are very dull here indeed. No billiards and nobody to see. I am tired of the city. I hope Alex is getting better. I hear he is very anxious to come back to camp. I would not object to having a similar wound. He had better stay as long as he can as he will not get off in a hurry again. I sent his things up by Billy. I enclose a note to him. No news here at all Give my love to all. I am much obliged to you for the money. I have been drawing on Cousin Tom.

Yours, Albert.
