Dear Parents
again will I try to pen a few lines to you to inform you that we are as well as usual and I hope this may find you the the same We received a letter from you this afternoon and were glad to learn that Ella was getting better and hope she will soon soon be well enough to return home. We have had another snow storm down here It fell about three inches deep then turned to rain and now the going is / quite bad again. It beats all what sudden changes there is in the weather for monday was a very nice fair day and warm like the spring of the season Tuesday it snowed all day long Wednesday rain and today fair again and so it goes and one cant tell one day what it will be the next I am seated in the Capts Office office trying to scribble this. He has gone to his supper and A. L. Williams sits near me writing to some of his friends and down stairs the boys are all trying to see who can / sing the loudest all trying to do their best and seemingly all very happy and contented Nothing of importance has occurred here since I last wrote to you with the exception of a few trifling changes in the non commissioned department of the wonder and admiration of the world (Co. G) of the galiant half hundred Sylvester Malette is expected to rejoin his Co again in a few days I guess he has not done much recruiting since we left Elmira Three sides of this sheet is filled up so I will close for to night by bidding you adieu Chas. W
