Dear Cousin
I received your letter last Sunday and was very glad to hear from you, we are all well at present John Henry has gone to quincy Susan got a letter from him yesterday and he was well. Chaly went home last Sunday and he was not here to write to you with me and so I had to take it by myself you said if I was up there I could have all the sleigh rids I wanted it begins to / seem like spring down here you told me to tell Mother not to get to mad about that ring she said she didene get mad
John if you was down here you could get to see something you never saw, they have got 1,900 prisoners at Camp butler they are getting very close to us. Many has been over and staid a week and started home this evening I cant think of any thing more to write so I must come to a close
