John Walcott Wetherell
John Walcott Wetherell was born on July 16, 1820, in Oxford, Massachusetts, to John and Clarissa Wetherell. He married Hester Newton on September 9, 1858, and they apparently had no children. He worked as a lawyer in Worcester, Massachusetts, and he served on Governor John A. Andrew’s staff during the Civil War. By 1870, he owned $60,000 of real estate and $40,000 of personal property. He died of prostate disease in Worcester on October 2, 1897.
