C. C. Loid has not got his discharge yet But he is looking for it every day. E. D. Kiersey has not got his furlo yet but expects it soon. Well Mollie I told you in my other letter that I would give you a full acount of the Battle / in this letter. But I could tell you but little about it if I could tell you all I knew about it. But I can tell you this mutch the 80th was in it nearley all the time. They lost 10 men wounded but none killed. There was no one wounded that you know. You wanted to know who was our comander during the fight we was under General Howard Hooker we was detached to the 11 Corps at Bridgport during the battle. The 11 Corps is comanded by General Howard & the 3 division is comanded by Gen Schurtz and the 3 Brigade & 3 division of the 11 Army Corps. But we are free from them now & I am very glad of it for there was a great / deal of disatisfaction among our boys while they was in the 11 Corps. We are in the 3 Brigade & 1 Division of the 4 Army Corps now. We have got good quarters hear and are tolerbel well fixed for the winter if we can stay hear & I think we are going to stay hear some time. I am going to come home on a furlo this winter if I can. But I am getting so use to solgering that it dont hurt me now like it use to I can stand it 3 years now very well if I liv. But I think I will be at home long before my 3 years is out at least I hope so.
