Dear Sister—
As I have arived safe in America once more I shall pen you a fiew lines to inform you that I am well and doing as well as could be expected my foot is mending sloly but it will be some time before it is entirely well I expect my big toe will always be stiff
Well Mollie I have nothing new to write this eavening I just mearely write to let you know where I am and what I am doing &c.
I intend to put in for a furlough hear and come home til I get well if I can get / one and if I cant get a furlough I want you to send me some things by express I will write a gain in a weak and let you know what I am doing I have not had a letter from any one since I left the front. I think some one broke them open as fast as they come while I was at Nashville to see if there was not money in them and then burnt them I know some one got them or else I would have got some of them I wrote 4 letters home while I was at Nashville and one while I was at Chattanooga I wrote one to you and one to Jim and one to Mother and / one to Uncle Mat and one to louis Moore
Well Mollie I want you to write as soon as you get this letter and let me know what you are all doing &c &c
