Dear Sister—
I have nothing new to write you this morning as it is seldom we get any news hear worth writing.
I am as well as common my foot is still mending I am getting so that I can hop round considerable. I am very well treated hear that is very well treated for the army but there is no place that I have found in the Army like home. There is several of the 80th Boys hear with me but none that you know except John McCalley he is not wounded he has got the scurvy.
I have not heard from the / Regt. since I wrote before I dont know what has become of them. You can tell Aunt Sallie that Mose is in Nashville he is with John he is sick. When I wrote to you before I wrote that I expected to get a furlough and come home but that is plaid as there has been as many furloughed as they had orders to furlough from this hospital. They may get a nother order soon to furlough as many more but I dont know whither they will or not.
Well Mollie I have not had a letter yet not since I left the front I do not see the reason why I cannot get a letter Still I supose I will get one when it comes time
Well Mollie I believe I have wrote all that I can think of for the preasant and I expe more than will be interesting So I will bring my letter to a close.
Give my love to my Parents and Jim and all the folks at home give my respects to all inquiring friends I remain yours very respectfully Sol
P.S. Write soon as you can and tell Jim to write without fail
And oblige your Brother
So Wood
