Dear father it is with pleasure that i seat mi self to write you a few lines to let you no that i am well at presant and hoping these few lines may find you all the same ther is nothing new here at presant time So i hant got nothing new to write to you the weather has been very wet here for some time and the mud is plenty yesterday was a ver nice and warm but to day it looks very much for rane and has raned a little this morning there is very few sick in the company at the presant time / I think there will be some puty hard fightting a gainst spring for the weather has been so bad this winter that it was imposible to get a round at tall but we will haft to take it in the spring but let them come we feel as if we was ready for them at eny time we will give them the best we halve in the shop and that is all eny boddy can do well i gess i halve told you all i halve to tell you for this time Captain Cooper is going home to day and i am going to send this letter with him and ten dollars in it and i want you to keep it till i come / home and when you write let me no weather you got it or not nothing more at this time but send mi respects to all write soon and dont for get and tell me all the news from your
