Dear father it is with pleasure that i tak mi pen in hand to write you a few lines to let you no that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines will find you all the same I ame here at the hospt yet and dont no when I will go a way and dont no when we will paid and I would like if you would send me some money for a feller mite as well be in Jale as to be here with out money when tobacco is five sents a chew i wrote a letter to Jack and i said i was out of money but i did not no wether you would send me eny or not / So i thought i would send you a few lines to let you no that i wanted it puty bad and when i get paid i will send it back you need not send more than fifteen or twenty thousand dollars somthing less will do I halve nothing more to say at this time but send it soon nothing more at presant but remaining your
