Dear father
I seat my self this evning to let you no that I am well at presant and hoping these few lines may find you all the same we are this far on our way home we come heare this morning and we had a big time heare to day the hole division of the reserves is a long we are a gay set of boys I well bet we are we halve had a hard time all this month fighting every day this month but as luck would halve it no one was kild / and only one wonded and he was not bad he was from lancaster well I cant tell when we will get a way from heare but I dont think it will be for a few days but when we do come I will bet you will halve us
I gess I halve told you all I halve tell to tell you this time if you see eny of Rhodes folks tell them that abe is all wright and Shaffers Asel is all wright and every boddy else is all wright how are you wright I will close by sending you all my well wishes nothing more at presant but remain your Sun G Bender
