Lucy B. Lee (maiden name: Bond) was born around 1811 in North Brookfield, Massachusetts, to Moses Bond and Lucy Fiske. She married Artemis Lee in Templeton, Massachusetts, on June 10, 1830, and they had at least five children: Ellen, born around 1832; Edward, born around 1834; Henry, born around 1838; Josephine, born around 1840; and Charles, born around 1842. The family lived in Templeton, and her husband worked as a merchant. In 1850, they owned $9,825 of real estate. A decade later, they owned $40,000 of real estate and $11,000 of personal property, and by 1870, their wealth had grown to $40,000 of real estate and $50,000 of personal property. Artemis died on June 27, 1870, and she died of pneumonia in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 25, 1897.
