Respected cousin
It is with pleasure that I now take my pen in hand to write you a few lines. I am at school to day but I must tell you (how she did look) She has improved some since she rode up them hills. She was married Tues. in the fore-noon about 11 o'clock. She had on a light dress and belt head-dress so on and &c &c I will send you a piece of her dress. I and Perry Sheldon stood up with them. About 3 oclock we took a ride and got back about betwen 7 & 8 Oclock. We then put put them to bed which we did ceerfully and without complaining. I don't know as you can read this for I am about half asleep and can't see straight. Hiram will tell you all about it. I wish you could have been here we would had a grand time

You must excuse this piece of paper for I was at school and it was all I had and there was a copy wrote written on it. I study Arithmetic Grammar Philosophy Orthography I have got to 317 page my Arithmetic. Now I beg of you not to let any one see this if I thought you would I would never send it to you for my pen is so poor that I can hardly make a mark and when it does it looks as though it was hard up now do not let any one see this and I will write more when I get so I can see straigh. My Arit-s Ray's 3 part no more at present O. I must tell you that I kissed the bride & groom for you.

Yours with respect
