Nancy J. Moore was born on February 16, 1842, in Ohio to Francis and Prudence Moore. His father was a farmer who owned $3,000 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property by 1860. The family lived in Hiram, Ohio, and she married William T. Quilliams on August 13, 1867. They had at least three children: Francis, born around 1870; Frederick, born around 1871; Prudence, born around 1879. They lived in East Cleveland, Ohio, and her husband worked as a farmer and house joiner. By 1870, they owned $3,000 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property. Her husband died on July 12, 1917. She applied for a widow’s pension in August 1917 and eventually received one. By 1920, she was living in her daughter Prudence’s household in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She died on March 29, 1933.
