Andrew Richmond
Andrew Richmond was born around 1834 in Michigan to Andrew and Elizabeth Richmond. His father was a farmer who owned $1,200 of real estate in 1850. Richmond grew up and attended school in Tecumseh, Michigan. He married Rosa Ann Sim on June 2, 1855, in Clinton, Michigan, and they had three children: Harriet, born around 1856; Charles, born around 1857; and Emma, born around 1860. Richmond enlisted in the Union army on August 28, 1861, and mustered in as a private in Company K of the 3rd Michigan Cavalry on October 23. He died of typhoid fever in Jackson, Tennessee, on October 12, 1862.
