Elias G. Drake Jr.
Elias G. Drake, Jr., was born around 1833 in New York to Elias G. Drake and Katherine M. Baker. His father was a merchant and banker who owned $7,000 of real estate in 1850. Drake grew up and attended school in New York City before enrolling at Columbia College in 1851. He graduated in 1854 and eventually began work as a lawyer. He never married, and he remained in New York City for the rest of his life. He died on January 4, 1917.
