My Dear Sister I take Mmy pen in hand to inform you in a letter that I am wel at present hoping that these few lines may find you in the same state of health I am here and get along rite wel i like it prety wel We had a mustern to day and I liket it firstrate and it was a pretty site i think we wil have a nother one bout day after to morro the boys ar ol wel I recived your letter on the 22. and received jacks the same time the part of the eighty third was taken prisners at harpers fury but I dont know how / how miney of them nor who the captin has received that letter that you wrote to him I told georg to write to you folks and he said he wuld write as soon as he could and he was well then and sends his love to you all and I cant think of very much know but we are all well so far and like eight very well but we have not got any more bountey yeight but the capten says we will soon guit eight the Captin says his father has got the bounty money and you can guit eight any time that is my shair 10 dolars is what I have sent I think we will be heir / some time yeight and we are drilling ivry day and I lik eight very well so far and so does all the rest of hour boys We have plenty of uncle sams pies to eat and the more you soak them in coffe the harder they guit beans beaf and sugar and is what we have to live on heir the pies is very hard crackers and bed we have is a blanket spred on the ground we have one apiece and we spred to or three under and the rest on top their is six in a tent heir eight is very warm heir yeight I want you to let me know how the fall crops are their for eight is very dry heir since we are heir /
