All those that live in our part of the country whose names do not appear here were detached from the Company on other duty and were safe when last heard from. Colonel Mason is at Camden safe, Capt McCormick and McKitrick and Lieut Robert E Smithson Wm Scott and Robert Fleming are prisoners. Lieut Charles Egler and Richner escaped and come to camp last night.
Capt Garret was left at Camden not able to be with his Company. Major Stevens and Lieut William E Smithson started to the front but did not get to the Regiment in time to engage in the battle
