The Dear Wife i take this oportunity of writing these few lines to you to let you know how i am a getting along My Diareah is a bout well but i am very week but i think that i will get along but i have nothing fit to eat for me i have to eat flower pan cakes and corn with out any soleratus or milk in it and it lays heavy on my stomache but i think that we will have other things to eat before long we have got a good bakery at Pulaski but we cant get to bring it often for it is not a easy mater to get it here we have 2 Companyes of our Regiment here at this mill and we are runing a grist and saw mill sawing lumber and grinding / flower for our Division of the and we have 4 Companies at a mill 9½ miles from here that is a flowering mill and saw mill and we are a going to run them that is while thare is any thing to grind for the government and we will drain the country of all the surpluss grain that is in the country we have a buly good country here have fine water and every thing in proportion if we had good health and if we had good grub we would have good health but still we are not any very bad now thare is one man in the Company ordered to the hospital and he is not dangerous sick and i think that we will have beter times now for we will have our quarters what we have not had since we left Pocahontas Tenesee and we have got our blankets and things to day i have not had a blanket / since we left Pocahontas tenese and we have not had a tent only sheds so you see we have not had a very nice time to since but we have had fine weather ever since we left Pocahontas and it is only rained 3 or 4 times since i stood the march the best kind till we come to Polaski Tenese and i take a diareah and it run me ever since till in the last week and i have ben on the mend ever since but not very fast if i have luck i think that i will have every thing all right to day i think that all will be well i dont know but that i will send you 5 dollars i would send you more but i did not get but a few dollars for we only got 2 months pay and i only got one of them and the way that i feel i want to keep some for my self to get some litel for my self but i think that / we will have our pay in a few months more but i cant tell how long exactly but i think that it wont be very long and it wont be very long before we will have but a bout 2 more pays in the field for our time is a growing fine and short now a few more months and all will all be well if nothing hapens to us but we cant tell but have to trust to Divine Providence for the rest of the luck for us and i hope all will be well i hope that you all are in good health and good spirits i will have to close for the present time but hope to rite soon again i remain as ever your
