Dear And affectionate Sister i received your very kind letter the other eveing and i was very glad to hear from you once more and to hear from home again i am well at present and was goad to hear that you were well to and farther and mother to.
Sis i haint very much news to tell you for this time but i can tell you that we maid another move but not very farr onely about two 5 or 6 miles from where we were /
But i dont think we will stay very long here for there is some talk of us mooveing shortely from where we are we are all getting along very well so farr we had no fight with the rebbels yet for some time But i am a thinking we will have some fightting before very long for they aint very farr from us at this present time But i still think that the war will be over before long but still i dont know But i must say that if it last two years yet i am still willing to serve my time at the buisness that is soldering and fightting for the union to put down Rebelion for rebelion must come down Augustus hush is well and hearty sister we are laying near falmoth about 2 miles from there /
Dear sister you were telling me what a good spell sabbath school you had at old center square and you engoyed your self at it you said you wish that i was there to well sister i wish so myself But sister dear we are many miles apart at this time But i hope that we before long we can walk side by side to sabbath school it seem long to me sister to see your smileing face again and to go to sundy school again But i hope that the war willsoon be over and then if i am liveing and you are liveing we will then soon see one another again and clasp one nother sweet hands togeather again as we oft times done before sister. sister i must tell you that we dont get to talk very mutch with / Ladies abouthere there aint very many gurls around here andwe dont get to talk hardely any with them. But if we live to get home again then we can talk to them when we wish to we will be free again from servise But now we have other things to see after we have the rebbels to fight at this present time we will tend to the girls after the war is over and we all come home again to see our friends now sister i must bring my letter to a close for this time and sister right soon to me again answer this letter when you get it Direct your letter as before to washington DC Copany G. 12th Regment P.R.C. in care of captian Divin no more at present onely remain your dear and affectionate friend and Brother
