Friend Enoch
                        sir I write you once more I been so that I could not write for some time for I had a lame hand but I take the oppertugta to address you now with a few lines I am at Camp Dennison Ohio how long I shall be here I do not know. I shall go to Pierpont or to Nashville I had the intermetent fever at Louisville about two weeks I verry sick while I was sick they stole all the things I had to send to Pierpont one blankett one bridle / one shirt one pair of drawers towe caps and a good many other things that I was a going to send the Stewart and me tried to find them but could not but I shall get some more befor long and if I do not com myself I shall send them befor long I wrote a letter to Sarah about four weeks ago and at the same time to Hellen but have recived know answer from eathr one I have got some Sesch money money you will find in this letter the fifty for you twenty for Emeline ten for Sarah / the five for Mary I send it for I suppose you never see any of the Southen scrip I left Louisville four weeks ago last sundy and come up the river on the steamboat we had a verry heavy snow storm the snow was about eighteen inches deep it cold for two or three days then it rained and it all gone off most I shall send some greenbacks to your father in two or three weeks for to keep
