Angelina Simon to Henry Simon and Ernest Simon, 18 May 1864
Providence May 18th /64
Dear Father & Brother.
Where, where are you No letter from you for a long time, and we are sick at heart with fear for we do not know if you are living and well or that you are wounded and suffering some where, with no one to care for you Hope it is all well with you. this suspense is terrible. Erney, why dont you write. it is a shame for you must have some time to spare Have you received the box yet. hope you have and have been made comfortable by it.
All are well as usual. Send all love to Papa and Derneste the little ones say—
Good-Bye
God the Father preserve thee
from harm and return you once
more in safety to us
Your affectionate Daughter
